At Connexion Church, we have four core values that we center our lives on: Depend, Grow, Love and Refuge.

Values

Depend

God has created us to rely fully on Him; so, in everything we do, we will foster intimacy with God and engage with every new thing God is doing (Psalm 42:1-4, John 15:5, 1 Peter 3:18, Philippians 3:8).

Grow

God desires for us to embrace our relationship with Him and extend that grace to others; so, we will teach people to walk in the fruit of the Spirit for Christ-following and equip people to use their Spirit-given gifts for kingdom impact (Galatians 5:22-25, Romans 12:1-8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, 1 Peter 4:8-10).

Love

God has shown us the greatest example of love through Jesus Christ; so, we steward our resources (time, talents, and finances) both selflessly and generously toward the advancement of His kingdom (1 Timothy 6:17-19, 1 John 4:19-21).

Refuge

God is a refuge for anyone who calls on Him; so, we exist to share that story of God’s grace and be a place of refuge for all people (Psalm 46:1-3, Mark 5:1-20, Acts:1:8, 2 Corinthians 5:16-21).

Outcomes

Our goal is to see God form these four values in the life of a follower of Jesus in this way:

Intimacy with God

The pursuit of God means KNOWING God’s word, HEARING and OBEYING what the Spirit of God says, and PRAYING boldly before God.

Fruit of the Spirit

Followers of Jesus experience an inward CHANGE that leads to an outward reality, where they EMBODY Christ’s character in their daily lives.

Spiritual Gifts

God has gifted His people uniquely, so followers of Jesus USE their spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church AND as Christ’s representatives to the world.

Stewardship of Life

Because of all that Jesus has done for us, followers of Jesus LOVE unconditionally, LIVE with open hands, and GIVE for the expansion of God’s kingdom and the benefit of others.

Grace Story

God’s grace is evident in the life of a follower of Jesus, so they SHARE their stories in any and every relationship the Spirit of God leads them into and CULTIVATE/BUILD a community—within the church and their daily lives—that welcomes people from all walks of life.
